Big Fluffy Clouds Work

Between 2012 and 2016 I produced mock-ups for animator Steve Rabatich (Toy Story, Heavy Metal and The Raccoons on Ice). Here are some of my favorites. Steve developed the ideas and gave me concept art and I built them in 3D.

The sky scene's clouds are all polygonal models and I really like the wispy parts. The country house scene was made to look more illustrated, I tinted the ambient occlusion by the inverse color of the diffuse to try to add to that effect as well as having few final gather samples with increased interpolation.
